Debut Orchestra is an introductory string orchestra for students who have already learned some basic technique on their instrument. Students learn how to play as part of an orchestral section and continue to focus on basic technique and reading music. Rehearsals are split between string orchestra rehearsal and instrument-specific group lessons.
Debut Orchestra rehearses weekly on Saturdays. Additional musical enrichment such as online masterclasses will be scheduled throughout the trimester.
Online schedule (Zoom): 9:00-9:30am group lesson, 10:15-11:15am rehearsal
Calendar: The second trimester takes place January 23-March 20. In March you will have the option to register for the third trimester, which will be April 10-June 12 (no rehearsal on May 29). Our priority is to continue to keep each other safe.
