Description

The Young Artists Orchestra is an intermediate string orchestra. YA emphasizes ensemble development and string technique. Rehearsals are split between instrument-specific group lessons and full-orchestra rehearsals.

 

Schedule: Saturdays, 9:00am-11:45am.

  • Instrument-specific sectional classes: 9:00am-10:00am
  • Orchestra Rehearsal: 10:15am-11:45am

 

Optional Enrichment Class

 

 

Chamber Music 

Small groups (2-8 musicians each) that provide learning and performance opportunities outside of students' primary ensembles. Chamber groups will meet from about 12:00pm-1:00pm every week, so students must be available during that timeframe to join. Consistent attendance is essential for DCYOP's Chamber Music program! Chamber Music tuition is $100 (paid during registration).
