The Youth Orchestra is DCYOP’s most advanced ensemble. YO performs repertoire from the standard orchestral literature and new works, including premieres. YO appears frequently at venues such as the Kennedy Center, the National Cathedral, and the UDC Theater of the Arts. The ensemble has toured over 20 countries, including South Africa in summer 2026
Schedule: Saturdays, 9:00-11:45am (with sectionals scheduled during this time as needed)

Chamber Music
Small groups (2-8 musicians each) that provide learning and performance opportunities outside of students' primary ensembles. Chamber groups will meet from about 12:00pm-1:00pm every week, so students must be available during that timeframe to join. Consistent attendance is essential for DCYOP's Chamber Music program! Chamber Music tuition is $100 (paid during registration).
