Premiere Youth Ensemble Intensive

This program is a two-week intensive designed for current members of the following DCYOP ensembles:

• Debut Orchestra
• Concertino
• Sinfonia
• Young Artists Orchestra
• Premiere Winds
• Wind Ensemble

The program is also open to non-DCYOP students who have between 1 and 5 years of playing experience.

Students will participate in the following activities:  

• Small Group instrumental instruction with DCYOP Faculty 

• Large ensemble “Symphonic Experience” of strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion performing together 

• Music Theory and Musicianship classes

• Workshops with guest presenters

• Final Concert for friends, family, and community 

Program Location: Takoma Elementary School (7010 Piney Branch Road NW, Washington DC 20012)

Program Dates: July 20th-July 31st

Drop-Off Time: 9:00am

Program Hours: 9:30am-3:30pm
