Welcome to DCYOP’s 2025–2026 Season!

Registration Information

 

Join us for another exciting year of music-making at the DC Youth Orchestra Program! Our fall programming welcomes orchestral string, wind, brass, and percussion students to work with our talented faculty and conductors. Students will strengthen their musical skills in both small and large ensemble settings, explore new repertoire, and build lasting friendships.

We also offer beginner-friendly programs for young students who are not yet playing an instrument but are eager to learn more about orchestral music and discover which instrument might be the right fit.

Space is available for those new to DCYOP with or without experience.

Auditions for placement are needed for any young musicians with more than 6 months of playing experience.

Registration Deadlines:

• Early Bird Registration: May 17 – July 15 (5% discount)

• Late Registration: September 2 ($50 late fee applied)

• Audition Early Bird Registration: August 16 – September 13 (5% discount)

• Sept 6, 2025, Parent Student Orientation – TES

• Sept 13, 2025, First Day of Classes and Rehearsals

 

 

Withdrawal & Refund Policy

• Processing Fee: $50

• Withdrawal & Refund requests must be sent to [email protected].

• Before September 13, 2025, DCYOP will refund the paid amount, deducting the $50 processing fee.

• No refunds will be issued after September 13.

• Refunds will be processed within one week of receiving the written request sent to [email protected]. Requests not sent to this email address will not be processed.

 

 

Payment Arrangements & Withdrawal

DCYOP offers flexible payment plan options to help manage tuition costs. A $50 nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of registration. An additional payment plan processing fee will be applied when selecting a payment plan. The credit or debit card used at registration will be automatically charged on the installment dates outlined in your confirmation email.

• Processing Fee: $50

• Withdrawal requests must be sent to [email protected].

• Requests made before September 13, 2025: DCYOP will cancel all arranged payments. Any money paid will be refunded, excluding the $50 non-refundable deposit.

• Requests made after September 13: DCYOP will cancel all remaining arranged payments. No refunds will be given.
